GENERAL INSTALLATION CONDITIONS Carbolt BV
Proper preparation is essential for the correct installation of our products. Please read the following installation instructions carefully and, if in doubt, contact your installation partner before installation.
The vehicle:
- The vehicle should be dry and placed indoors for at least 12 hours before installation.
- The locks are mounted on the steel door posts all around. These should be accessible and not obstructed by, for example, a built-in cabinet or other retrofitted equipment.
- A partition should be installed between the cab and the cargo area. If this partition is thicker than the factory standard, please indicate this in advance. It will not be possible to move the vehicle during installation.
- If you're unsure whether the situation in your van is suitable for installing the locks, please take some photos of the cargo area and send them to info@carbolt.de.
The location:
- Because the locks are mounted using a two-component adhesive, we can only perform installation indoors. A minimum room temperature of 10 degrees Celsius is required.
- The mechanic must be able to park his service car next to the vehicle, along with the power supply and the ability to quickly and easily access the right tools.
- If assembly on site is not possible, it can also be carried out in our workshop.
Planning:
- Every day, we perform installations for several customers at different locations. Therefore, we specify a day, not a specific time, in the order confirmation. We perform installations between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. If no one is available at the specified location at 8:00 a.m., please let us know in advance. Upon request, the mechanic can contact you while on the way.
- The mechanic's phone number is for contact on the day of installation only. Questions and/or comments after the work has been completed can be directed to our general phone number.
- In situations of force majeure, despite our best efforts, an appointment may have to be cancelled or postponed at the last minute due to unforeseen circumstances.
- If the installation cannot take place because the circumstances stated in the installation conditions cannot be met, the costs will be invoiced.
- If the appointment is cancelled within 24 hours of the scheduled date, we will have to charge you a fee.
